چکیده
The Minimum Spanning Tree problem (abbr. MSTP) is a well-known combinatorial optimization that has been extensively studied by the researchers in field of evolutionary computing to theoretically analyze performance algorithms. Within paper, we consider constrained version named 2-Hop (1,2)-Minimum 2H-(1,2)-MSTP) context algorithms, which shown be NP-hard. Following how algorithms are applied solve MSTP, first with search points edge-based representation adapted 2H-(1,2)-MSTP (including (1+1) EA, Global Simple Evolutionary Multi-Objective Optimizer and its two variants). More specifically, separately investigate upper bounds on their expected time (i.e., number fitness evaluations) obtain 32-approximate solution respect different functions. Inspired special structure 2-hop spanning trees, also EA vertex-based seems not so natural for give an bound solution, better than above mentioned ones.

The 2-hop spanning tree problem
Given a graph G with a speciied root node r. A spanning tree in G where each node has distance at most 2 from r is called a 2-hop spanning tree. For given edge weights the 2-hop spanning tree problem is to nd a minimum weight 2-hop spanning tree. The problem is NP-hard and has some interesting applications. We study a polytope associated with a directed model of the problem give a completeness ...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis on Evolutionary Algorithms for the Minimum Label Spanning Tree Problem
Some experimental investigations have shown that evolutionary algorithms (EAs) are efficient for the minimum label spanning tree (MLST) problem. However, we know little about that in theory. As one step towards this issue, we theoretically analyze the performances of the (1+1) EA, a simple version of EAs, and a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm called GSEMO on the MLST problem. We reveal t...
متن کاملLayered graph models and exact algorithms for the generalized hop-constrained minimum spanning tree problem
This article studies the generalized hop-constrained minimum spanning tree problem (GHMSTP) which has applications in backbone network design subject to quality-of-service constraints that restrict the maximum number of intermediate routers along each communication path. Different possibilities to model the GHMSTP as an integer linear program and strengthening valid inequalities are studied. Th...
متن کاملComplexity Analysis of 2-Heterogeneous Minimum Spanning Forest Problem
For complexity of the heterogeneous minimum spanning forest problem has not been determined, we reduce 3-SAT which is NP-complete to 2-heterogeneous minimum spanning forest problem to prove this problem is NP-hard and spread result to general problem, which determines complexity of this problem. It provides a theoretical basis for the future designing of approximation algorithms for the problem.

We consider a generalization of the classical minimum spanning tree problem called the generalized minimum spanning tree problem and denoted by GMST problem. The aim of this paper is to present an exact exponential time algorithm for the GMST problem as well three heuristic algorithms, two of them based on Prim’s and Kruskal’s algorithms for the minimum spanning tree problem and one based on th...
